Ready To Try Reformer Pilates?

Trying your first reformer class can feel a little intimidating — but promise, everyone starts somewhere (and nobody walks in magically knowing what all the springs do). Here are the questions we get asked all the time by first-timers.

Is Reformer Pilates suitable for Beginners?

100%. You do not need to be fit, flexible, coordinated, or already wearing matching activewear sets to start.

Our beginner-friendly classes are designed to teach you everything you need to know — no experience needed.

What if I'm nervous or don't know what I'm doing?

Completely normal. Honestly, most people feel like this before their first class.

Nobody expects you to know everything — that’s what we’re here for. And we promise everyone is far too focused on their own shaking legs to judge yours.

Anything comfy you can move in — leggings, shorts, gym wear, oversized tee… all welcome.

Grip socks are required though, because sliding off the reformer dramatically is not part of the workout, but don't worry if you don't already have a pair, we sell these in the studio, and accept both cash are card payments.

For a new member your first class is just £13. A luxury class without the luxury prices. For existing members a single class pass is £16, and we also offer class passes where you can buy in bulk and it works out a little cheaper each time. To view our full range of passes head to our 'Prices and Passes' section.

We have lots of classes to choose from, so choosing the right one for you is super important! Anyone brand new, getting back into exercise, or a little bit nervous about joining should start in our Beginners classes. Here you will learn all the basics to support your journey. Everyone's journey look different, but as a guideline we recommend at least 5 Beginners classes before moving into our All Levels & Intermediate classes, to ensure a safe and effective workout.

How much are the classes?

Not at all. Reformer Pilates helps build strength and flexibility — you don’t need to arrive with them already unlocked.

A lot of people love reformer Pilates for improving posture, strengthening the core, and helping them move better day to day. If you’ve got an injury or any concerns, just let your instructor know before class so we can support you properly.

You are able to cancel and reschedule your class up to 24 hours before the scheduled start time. You can make any changes by logging into your bsport account. When you cancel within the notice period, your credit will go automatically back into your account.

All Reformer Pilates classes are 45 minutes.

Yes! All bookings need to be made before the scheduled class and you can do so by hitting the BOOK NOW button in the right hand corner!

Definitely. The spring resistance helps build lean strength while improving stability and control. Basically: strong, toned, and standing taller without spending hours doing burpees.

Everyone’s different, but many people start noticing improvements in strength, posture, flexibility, and energy within a few weeks. You’ll also become strangely passionate about core engagement.

1–3 classes a week is a great place to start. Consistency is key — and trust us, once you start feeling stronger, you’ll probably want to come more anyway.

When do I need to arrive?

Aim to arrive about 10–15 minutes early for your first class so we can get you settled in and introduce you to the reformer before class starts. Rushing in at the last second while trying to put socks on at the same time? Stressful for everyone involved.

In many cases, yes — reformer Pilates can be a brilliant low-impact way to stay active during pregnancy, if you were already practicing before. That said, we’ll always recommend chatting with your doctor or midwife first, and then letting your instructor know before class so we can adapt exercises safely for you. If you're brand new, we recommend attending specialised pre-natal classes.

Yes — and they’re honestly a great way to get started (or to level things up if you want a bit more focus).

Yes - there is on-site parking available. When you have booked, depending on which studio your going to, you will receive information on where is the best place to park!
